Alex O’Gorman - Life long learning in the serivce of others

How you do anything is how you do anything”

We speak to elite physio and coach Alex O'Gorman about the practice of learning in the service of others, and how having someone else as the focus of what you're learning and improving yourself can can give you so much drive and satisfaction. We talk to Alex about his holistic approach to coaching, how it's not always about coaching the athlete, but the whole person, and getting into their heads to help them realise the bigger picture.

Alex is a physiotherapist for British Triathlon, looking after athletes such as Alex Yee and Jake Wightman. He's previously worked with INEOS Grenadiers cycling team. Alex is also a lecturer at St Mary's University and a coach, coaching sprinters that have represented GB at British and European Championships.

Go Do:

Our Go-Do this week is to ask yourself 3 questions inspired by what we heard from Alex to help you work out

  1. What are you learning?

  2. Who you're learning it for?

  3. How will those people benefit as a result

Let us know! We're on instagram and linkedin, and would love to hear from you!
